Damien Hirst’s neo-Imperial military-industrial-aesthetic-economic 1%-spot-painting-complex opens at all 4211 Larry Gagosian Nike Towns around the globe (plus two outlets on Neptune). I’d love to own any spot painting (each is equally cheery, modern looking, and graphically optimistic). But you see one spot painting; you’ve seen them all (which may be one of their stronger Sol Le Witt/On...

Check them out: Jeremy & Matt
I second the motion. That is some adorable photo nerding.
So I’m going to lay this down, just to clarify, so that nobody from the future...

Shayne has been one of my favorite artists for the past 8ish years, take a look at the project he’s been working on with Seth Scriver… and help them out to finish it if you have a couple bucks?

Received this in my inbox the other day -

Elliott Erwitt once said that the thing he likes about photographing dogs is that they don’t ask for prints. But this isn’t always the case. The picture above was made for a collector (that’s a million dollar Ad Reinhardt above the fireplace). This guy loves his dog. And I love dogs too. I…

Would you settle for a metrosexual rainbow?
clientsfromhell:
Client: I want a design that uses a rainbow, but not one of those gay rainbows.
Me: Excuse me?
Client: I want you to put a rainbow on it, but like a Jesus rainbow.
Me: Can you… specify the difference?
Client: I WANT IT TO BE A RAINBOW BUT NOT GAY.
Border Guard
niallmcclelland:
So I sold a piece recently to a really nice buyer in L.A and the gallery sent it down last week to his assistant… Here’s the photos she sent back… Turns out the border guard thought it was some sort of drug, ripped the piece in three, then realized it was just paper and ink and sent it on though… like nothing fucking happened… What.The.Fuck.
Damn. So lame. Though it...

Google Reverse Image Search →
ckck:
I’ve been testing Google’s new reverse image search function for the past couple of days and it’s a most welcome addition to their services, as well as a welcome rival/compliment to Tineye. I have the Chrome extensions for both of them installed, and it makes looking up images as easy as pie.
